I am watching, ill generally watch whatevers on. Great weekend of sports to watch for me: Olympics:Tommorow New Zealand should get a few golds maybe and some other medals, Rugby: NZ, VS South Africa (Go NZ!), and my weekend sports i play, its all action packed! I agree the chinese gymnasts look like they are 12, oh well they are good.

wow, thats all i can say about tonights all around final. im very happy with the end and im 99 percent satisfied with it . the only thing that slightly bugs me is i feel bad for shawn i mean she has nothing to be ashamed about she performed amazing ,and went out with a bang on her amazing floor routine. and really deserved her silver but its sad to see her come close to gold but not get it. i know shes proud of herself and she should be second best in the world theirs alot of things to be proud of their. but anyway i am very happy for nastia as im a huge fan of hers as well, and it was really nice to see two very good freinds on the podium together and for both to cry tears of joy for one another was amazing. i am very happy for nastia and was cheering when she won as shes drop dead gorgeous and a super athlete. so yes all congratulations to nastia and shawn and hopefully shawn can take a gold home before the end of these olympics.she has two more chances if im not mistaken(beam and floor finals) and both are on sunday so ya.

the song i used is i will by the beatles. i will be making another slideshow very soon about shawn and nastia about being the champions(yes shawn is a winner in my eyes two silvers at the olympics and being on the podium with your best freind second and first give the kid credit) and ofcourse the song ill be using is we are the champions.

i agree. i was kind of rooting for shawn over nastia, but i do love them both. she deserved the gold just as much as nastia. they both did amazing, congrats to them.

Yeah I love Bella he is the best coach every. I am SO mad at Dominique Moceanu for what she said about the Karolie's in an interview. She needs to be slapped. Her sour grapes are pathetic.

whatttt! what did she say about them? how could she say something mean after everything they've taught her?

A 1996 Olympic gold medalist, Dominique Moceanu, said in an interview airing Tuesday on HBO that elite gymnastics has a "dark side" and that many athletes, former athletes and administrators hope her former coach, Martha Karolyi, will be removed from her leadership role in USA Gymnastics.

Moceanu and former women's all-around national champion Jennifer Sey, author of a book titled Chalked Up, discussed criticisms of women's elite gymnastics for a story that airs at 9 p.m. Tuesday on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.

Moceanu, who said there is a "dark side of the elite gymnastics scene," described diet restrictions she said she had to follow as a young gymnast and physical stresses that led to leg, wrist and shoulder injuries. She said one way to change the sport's culture would be to remove Martha Karolyi, the women's national team coordinator, and Bela Karolyi, who operates the national training center, from their roles.

"People are hoping that there'll be change," Moceanu said. " ... If it was up to the athletes, it would have happened a long time ago."

Moceanu, who lives in Cleveland with her husband, Dr. Michael Canales, and their infant daughter, Carmen, said gymnastics "can be done in a better way, physically and emotionally." She said she would not encourage her child to participate in the sport.

Sey, who competed in the mid-1980s, discussed eating disorders and injuries that she believes led to physical, psychological and emotional damage. She said her coaches "would probably say that their mission is to create champions. ... And I guess my challenge back would be 'At what cost?' "

Moceanu has been at odds with USA Gymnastics since 2006, when her petition to compete at the national championships was denied. She said at the time that Martha Karolyi ignored her at a training camp and added, "They should be ashamed of what they did to their Olympic champion."

Then Kim Zmeskal in an interview (I don't have it) stuck up for Martha and Bella and Dominique insulted her.

"In the recent press, I'm very disappointed in what Kim Zmeskal has said. She's had beef with me since I called her out for being an unethical athlete representative two years ago. It's a shame that she can't think for herself. I remember when they abused her too. She was crying on my shoulder when Bela called her fat, put her on the scale, and made her run outside wearing a sweatsuit in the dead heat of summer. That happened in the very gym that the 2008 Olympic selection team camp happened. If she thinks that that's okay -- that that's fair treatment -- that's one thing, but I guarantee 99 percent of people wouldn't think that that's okay behavior."

Then Martha responded to Dominique

Martha Karolyi declined to address Dominique Moceanu’s criticisms of her, saying only that she was “sad” the Olympic gold medalist chose to focus on the hard times in training rather than the success she had.

In an interview scheduled to air Tuesday night on HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel,” Moceanu criticized Karolyi and her husband Bela for their strict training regimen and diet restrictions, and said Karolyi should be removed from her job as national team coordinator.

The Karolyis retired after Moceanu and her teammates won the gold medal in 1996, but Martha Karolyi has overseen the U.S. women’s team since 2001.

“I feel sad that a gymnast so accomplished as Dominique, being part of the 1996 Olympic team and being the individual medalist in 1995 world championships … can remember the harder days during the preparation,” Karolyi said Tuesday during a conference call to discuss the U.S. team for the Beijing Olympics. “I feel sad.”

Karolyi acknowledged that it’s not easy to become an elite athlete, let alone an Olympic champion. It’s a long journey, and only the strongest athletes attain the highest levels of success, Karolyi said.

Most, though, would say it’s worth it, Karolyi said.

“I think the majority of the girls certainly feel very proud they were able to train those many years and be dedicated and deal with the sacrifices,” she said. “Just like in any other directions or any part of life, where in order to be successful, you really have to work hard.”

ok now about the all around competition last night I WAS THRILLED NASTIA WON! I love Shawn Johnson and I think shes really talented but I've been a Nastia fan for much longer and I am so glad that we went 1 2 for the medals. I am very disapointed with the judging from last night. So annoying that Shawn and Nastia got lower scores than they deserved while that one Chinese gymnast was making mistakes and getting higher than she deserved. I find cheating so annoying but there is nothing people can do about it I guess. I hate the new scoring system and I also hate how long it takes to decide the scores and they always have to call over Nelli Kim.

The all around for women is my favorite event of the Olympics and of course watching Michael Phelps.
