Congrats to Bailey Hanks: Broadway's New Elle Woods!!

Tonight, on MTV, it was announced that Bailey Hanks, of Anderson, SC, who had never been to a Broadway show, let alone NYC, has won the casting competition. Baily beat out 9 other contestants, most notably the contestants known as Autumn (Runner-up), Rhiannon, Lauren, Emma Zaks & Natalie.

Bailey's first performance at the Palace Theatre in NYC, in the heart of Times Square, is on July 23 at 8 PM.

Autumn Hurlbert, the show's runner-up, will be understudying the role of 'Elle' on Broadway, as well as be featured in the ensemble.

Lauren Zakrin will be understudying the role of 'Elle' in the national tour, which begins in September 08. She will also be in the ensemble.

Rhiannon Hansen will be portraying the role of 'Margot' on the national tour, which as said begins in September 08. 'Margot' is a featured ensemble part, and is 'Elle''s best friend in the show.


Congrats to all the girls! Look forward to hopefully seeing them (with rumored Brooke being COLEEN SEXTON on the national tour...the autograph I've been seeking since I began!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).
