well you all know im a die hard mets fan. and most of you know a few months ago i was supposed to meet mookie but he cancelled at the last second. anyway yesterday was the day he re-sceduled the signing, and i did meet him, mookie was a gentlmen and was offering to sign more items and signing everything me and my dad had, the guy running the signing was a huge jerk thou but whatever. i guess me and my dad did get kinda greedy but mookie was so nice. i had brought the book the bad guys won to be signed and he started talking to me about the book and he then asked what it said about him in the book and i told him that him and gary carter were the only straight guys on the team(straight as in non partiers). he then saw i was wearing his jersey and hes like do you want me to sign that too and im like if you dont mind that would be awsome. but ya i got five items in total signed by this mets legend
1.the bad guys won book on the 1986 mets(which included mookie ofcourse)
2. my jersey(he signed the front because he couldnt sign the numbers because their screened on and not stiched)
3. mets ball
4. the famous picture from game six
5. a mets hat
the picture hat and ball are all personalized the jersey and book are not.
but ya the guy running the signing was rushing everybody which really isnt fair because we all waited a hour and a half plus, he didnt even want personalizations to be done.
i also asked mookie how nervice he was before he came up to bat in game six and he looked at me and hes like very nervice son very. but yes i truly apreciate mookies kindness it was definetly worth waiting a hour and a half.
btw i met him at a pre game signing at a blue jays game. each friday they have a former player come and sign autographs
ps please leave this on this fourm the ip fourm is never used.
