Buying an autograph , what do you guys think about buying one instead of getting one through the post or in person?

When there is no other option (eg. astronauts) and you really want it - then it's no question at all.

There are already threads on this, but.......
Theres nothing wrong with buying an autograph, anyone who suggests there is, is deluded. Harsh? Not really.
There are people on this forum who will try to claim that buying an autograph is wrong, that it doesnt "mean as much" to them, and that people who buy autgraphs are "not real collectors/fans", which is quite obviously, utter rubbish.

Although I am amongst those who would say that it "doesn't mean as much to them", especially in contrast to a personalized one, I would never say that it is "wrong" or that those are "not real collectors/fans"! I think it is quite the opposite since they don't mind to expend "a lot of money" for their most desired autograph...
So that is my opinion.

I think it's fine.
Sometimes there is very little choice for someone anyway - like maybe the star doesn't sign TTM and the fan has little to no chance of ever being at a premiere to get their autograph. Things like that.
But personally, as long as it's real and not ridiculously priced, then yeah, I'd buy.

Obviously there's nothing wrong with it...
I personally have never (and probably will never) bought an autograph for the simple reason that I like writing the letter, sending it and getting a photo signed specially just for me back in my mailbox.
I like the idea that the celebrity have read my letter and "knows" me!
I have nothing against buying but for personal reasons I don't buy, sell or trade autographs.
But if you want to buy, I say go for it as long as you know for sure it's authentic! {thumb2}

Hi all
Personally, I will only buy an autograph which is impossible to get TTM. I do not see anything wrong with buying autographs; however, I hate to see dealers obtaining autographs and selling them on ebay for a rip off price :neutral: :

i've bought a few autographs. ones that are very hard to obtain, such as emma watson, i really have no problem with buying. i don't recommend buying from ebay.
