I was just wondering what everyones favourite Christmas songs are?
Which song signifies Christmas for you?
For me it is definitely 'Fairytale of New York', I still get chills everytime I hear that song!
I also love 'Winter wonderland', 'Santa Claus is coming to town', 'Oh little town of Bethlehem', 'Last Christmas' and 'All I want for Christmas is you'.
You're all probably going to say songs that I've forgot lol so my list is very likely to get even longer!
I just love Christmas so much, and the music is such a huge part of it!

Santa's Coming - CKY. It's quite funny. I also don't mind 'All I want For Christmas' by My Chemical Romance, I think it's better than the original.
There's also a South Park song, but I will not quote it

it just started playing, I hate it when that happens
I'm not a big fan of Christmas, and I hate most of the songs to do with Christmas.

Bah....Humbug!
I actually have a lot of favourite Christmas songs. I play The Carpenters Christmas Portrait album all through December coz I love it so much and I don't think you can beat a bit of Mr Crosby to get you in to the Christmas spirit either! There's also a lesser known Irish carol called "Christmas In Killarny" that I love and of course, The Pogues & Kirsty McColl! "Happy Christmas you *****, I pray God it's our last"

its all about Fairytale of New York. Thats the main reason i look forward to christmas - i can legitimately listen to that song

its like the coke adverts on the tv, when you hear it that means its christmas. considering whether its worth £30-ish plus train tickets to catch the pogues live this christmas. to hear that would be magic, but wouldnt be the same with someone else singing kirsty mccolls part.
apart from that one...im digging the manic street preachers version of last christmas, then theres stop the cavalry or whatever its called, that trumpet bit makes it

cant go wrong with a bit of slade, and then for the morning after when your head is suffering a bit you can listen to the noel gallagher version they did for the royle family christmas special
last year the manics also put out 'christmas ghost' for free which is pretty darn good. they're ruining it all for me, cant complain about christmas songs any more...
(thanks to my sister 'lonely this christmas' by mud is also one thats a family thing...im not much of a fan but listening to it makes me think of us all sitting round the tv being amazed that htey can do a top 100 christmas songs show)
