Have you ever wished you could have gone back in time and wished that you saw that one cool "big-screen event" movie in the theaters instead of the crappy one you just saw? Or maybe you thought it looked terrible at first and once you got around to seeing it on DVD you slapped yourself.
My list:
Hot Rod - Simply hilarious. I found out about it way after it had stopped being shown at the theaters..
The Godfather - Just epic!
Casino Royale - One of the best Bond movies. Much better than Quantum!
Bullitt - Best car chase scene in movie history!!

That movie is hilarious. And so is the prequel! (White Castle)

The Dark Knight!
Everyone told me it was the most amazing thing ever but I was too busy to see it. Now that I saw it on DVD I wish I made time to see it in theaters.

- How to lose friends and alienate people
- Quantum of Solice
I would have also liked to have seen Saw V but the saw films are films which me and my boyfriend have always watched together so I thought I'd wait until we could watch it together and buy the dvd.

I agree with those two right there.

Along with Scarface, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, and Taxi Driver. Classic movies would have been great to see in theaters.

-The Italian Job - the original one. Don't make em like that any more, even when they try to...
-Original Star Wars trilogy/Indiana Jones/Superman (Christopher Reeve era) cos not only are they great films, but epic soundtracks too. Would love to hear them in proper cinema sound...
-One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, complete classic that.
-Airplane! just cos you very rarely get to see a good comedy at the cinema, but when you do its pretty special. Best one I've seen so far was Borat, thats a film that doesn't work so well with less people about, you need a few hundred people laughing to make it
...and the Blues Brothers. For the above reason.
-The Great Escape. Don't need to justify that.
-Trainspotting. Bit of an era definer that.
plus any of the classic James Bonds (i'm thinking sean connery time...up to rodger moore?) when they were at their best and were just cool without having to try like they do now. jetpack anyone? plus, would love to hear those classic theme tunes coming out rather than the rubbish they peddle out now. not touched 'the spy who loved me' yet, or any of the shirley basseys. try too hard to be cool.
not too many then
