Ads?

This is just a simple yes or no question. Whenever I sign in, above the log in area, I see Ads by Google, even though I have an ad blocker. Does anyone else see ads? I'm just wondering if it's only me.

I think if you turn your blocker off, there will be real ads or banners there instead og just the words, but Im not going to try it

Yeah, I'd rather just have the words instead of the banners. If I could have it my way I'd have niether.

By banners, are you talking about the Google banner at the top of the page, or are you also talking about the pop-up adverts you get as you browse the forum as well?

If you mean the pop-ups there is a way around it! You just need to download the fanmail.biz toolbar (which is pretty cool for finding celebs by name!) and click on the button to block site pop-ups.

Just a suggestion

I agree with you about ads being a pain, but I suppose to be sensible for a moment, this site has to pay for itself somehow!!!!!! If the choice is putting up with a few adverts, or paying a monthly subscription charge, then I will live with the ads !!!!!!
