i have a picture of myself i wanted to make my avatar. i'm slightly computer-ignorant.

tried downloading it, but it said it had to be between 0 - 6 kib. huh? how do i adjust the size?

Hello

You will have to use some kind of image manipulation software like PhotoShop, GIMP or any other so that you can scale down the picture and save it in lower quality. This way its size will be reduced!

You don't need any special kind of software to do it, when I make avatars I copy and paste the image to Microsoft Word to resize it, then I copy and paste that to Paint where I save it

Why don't you ask in one of the shops on the Graphics Shops board? If you can't manage it yourself then just post in one of them, that's what they're there for!
