Supposed Traitorous Screenwriters Ending with Dalton Trumbo

Although I have always been a fan of Kirk Douglas, I have new respect for him learning that he more-or-less single handedly ended the dishonorable blacklist of Hollywood screenwriters with his using Dalton Trumbo as the screenwriter for Spartacus. This was a scary time in our history being told so may communists forsworn to overthrow the US were supposed to be found in cinema. Fortunately, Mr. Douglas took on the establishment and further raised his star to my thinking. We were rightfully careful, but person's rights were trampled on; we found out needlessly. It took a strong will and character to do that an I applaud his effort at closing one of the darker times in US history. Also, I would trust an actor before any politician because you know when the actor if plying his trade and you do not with the politician.
