The Sims 3

I've been a fan of The Sims since the beginning! They are fantastic and have really come a long way!
Just curious though, what are the significant differences between Sims2 and Sims3?

Well, they kind of look the same. Some big differences are, in the Sims 3:

-There's a seamless neighborhood. It's a huge one too. You can walk your sim around town and go to neighbor's houses- without a loading screen in between it all.

-There's a new tool called Create A Style. Any object can have any pattern that other objects have on it.

-You can make your sim extremely skinny or extremely fat. Almost everything in Create A Sim has a slidebar (skintone, weight, hair, etc.) and a color wheel (except weight). Hair can now have highlights, roots, and tips.

-You can pick up to 5 traits out of 65 for your sim to have. This also creates favorites.

-When your sim goes to work or school, you can follow them, but you can't go inside. You can also have your sim give birth at the hospital.

-There's 2 resturaunts you can eat at.

Those are the biggest ones. There are others, but you should go to http://www.snootysims.com to find those out. They have a lot of sim info.

I've been looking forward to this game for what seems like forever. I've had it on preorder since November and so was majorly narked when it got put back from February to June. I'm not going for the collectors edition though as it is only available at one shop in the UK (GAME) and I find them to be very expensive. So I'm sticking with the regular edition and amazon.

The new features of sims 3 look really cool especially how customisable the sims actually are. Seems a million miles away from the sims in Sims 1. How simplistic those old sims look compared to the new ones.
