My user signature

When I try to edit my user signature for this website I get this message:
You are not authorised to define a signature.

What do I need to do? I see some people that have a list of their recent successes as a signature, and I would like to do this.

Don't worry, everyone has been having this problem for a few months now.
Everyone is truly hoping signatures will be back soon, but as of now we're not sure when/if they'll come back.
