I second that.

Black sharpie, as it fades away with time, will change the colour from very black to brownish, bronze or something like that. While blue will stay blue over the time, making the autograph stable and more valuable.

Professional autograph dealers know that, so some celebs think you are out there to make money. It is better to carry more sharpies with you just in case.

When you scan a photograph signed with a blue Sharpie it stands out and it just looks better, the black ones are just ordinary..they look dull when viewed on line. I think certain celebs are aware of this and prefer to sign in black so that when their autographs are sold online there will be more questions regarding authenticity and less bidding for that item.
