Stamp removal ???

Does anyone know how to remove the self sticking stamps so they can be reused ? I know steam or water might work with the ones you lick but not with self sticking stamps..any ideas ???

Cut them off the envelope and glue or tape them on the new envelope. It doesn't need to be perfect.

I use boiled water for both licked and self sticking stamps and it works perfectly for me

I usually cut around it and glue it back on,
Or just peel it off as best I can, and then glue it.
Both worked for me!

Reusing stamps is ILLEGAL people, you do know this, right?

I know a trick to re-use stamps, I don't know if we can use them for our autographs envelopes, but maybe.
You all know those glue-sticks, well after you've put your stamp on the envelope, you put some glue from the stick on it. The receiver can wash of the inkt with a wet cloth. Let the stamp dry, and re-use. {thumb2}

Thanks guys and its up to the u.s. post office to stamp them and if they are too lazy or don't bother then reusing them is not illegal because they were never voided so this thread is not stupid,I wouldnt go so far as to cut them or reglue them or anything but if they will peel off and restick i will reuse them... {thumb2}

But let's assume the following: Have you ever put a stamp on an envelope and never sent this one off? Well, this happened to me twice so far and I wouldn't DREAM of throwing the envelope away with those mint stamps on it... Nobody would recognize it anyway - If it had been posted before or not. You seem to throw away cash, as well :razz: No offense!
