I was just curious if anyone feels badly towards a celebrity who ignores their letters or do you still like them the same.I always think if i don't get a reply chances are they never received my letter and its nothing to do with them but when i hear people i like hate fanmail or don't sign things or only send PP photos it does make me like them less for some reason.I know they are busy people but really us the fans are why they are rich and famous.Sure they don't have to sign things for fans but if they knew how happy it can make a fan i think they would try a little harder sometimes.Personally i respect actors who sign things for fans who don't have to because alot of stars seem to do it when they are starting out and need us but once they make it big and get rich they no longer need us and don't care or sometimes realize people will pay money for their autograph and will only sell them which is fine if they need the money but not if they are just beeing greedy or using it as an excuse to never sign anything for fans...

I do not like those who do not respond me less but I respect and admire those who do, even more ;) It means a lot to me getting an autograph of my favourite actor.

Well I never write to anyone expecting a reply. I always think there's a chance I will get a success and there's a chance I won't. Which makes me even happier when I do get a success. I actually never hear back from over half the people I write to but it doesn't make me like them any less.

No, not really. It just makes me feel that their fans aren’t as important to them as they want everyone to think. It's like we made them famous and helped them get where they are/were, and they can't even take a few seconds to sign a piece of paper just because they "don't feel like it?"* Pfffft! :neutral:

Not really. Some just don't sign for various reasons - perhaps they only do so for charity, or they want money in return, or whatever. Doesn't make them any less of a person.

And the other thing of course is that if you don't get a reply, it isn't always on the celeb. USPS is far from perfect when it comes to handling mail.

I don't mind so much ttm. There are various reasons why someone would not reply ttm so not getting a reply doesn't really change my feelings towards a celeb. I just can't abide celebrities who are rude in person. There's no excuse for it and I would go off someone very quickly if I got snubbed IP! {thumb2}

i 100 percent agree with my buddy Annie, that's the exact same way i feel, i mean the celebrity may not receive your letter it could get lost in the mail,their management may not give it to them, and of course celebrities are very busy. but if a celeb is a flat out jerk IP then yes i go from being a fan to really disliking them.

And BTW If They are a "Jerk" In Person" There MAYBE Is Something That You Dont Know Bewhind The Scenes...Like Family Issues...a Death In The Family...Or Jus A Plain Ol' Bad Day...They Feel ALOT of Pressure To Either Make a Good CD...To Sell Out Tour Dates And Havea Good Tour...To Make a Good Movie And Sometimes The pressure Just Just Gets To Them....So You Never Kno....Just My Opinion.

margotchanning is annie ,and i understand if their is like a really bad circumstance but other then not i think its very rude.
