Hi there!

I have to write an essay into my English class and the topic is the following quote:

The English language proper belongs to the people who dwell from South of Hadrian´s Wall, east of the Welsh hills and north of the English Chanell...Their (foreigners´) choice is to accept one authority or else make their own language....

I'd like to hear your opinions on it, especially if you agree with it or not, and why. I need to qutoe someone's opinios in the essay, to support or refute my arguments. I will not claim your opinions as mine, of course. It would help me if you also included in your reply if you're from an English speaking country or not.
