Usually the REAL celeb twitters have "VERIFIED" in the top right hand corner. If they dont, then dont go giving out personal details as theyre likely not legit.

Celebrity Twitter accounts don't need to be verified to be real, that service seems somewhat reserved for bigger celebrities.
Other ways you can tell if it's real is by visiting their official website, and seeing if they link to that account. You can also look at their Twitpics to see if they have personal pics posted that are not posted elsewhere, which would be a sign that it's real.

I regularily chat to celebs on Twitter. Usually James Moran, Noel Clarke, Forbes Masson, Ryan Sampson, Kathryn Drysdale, various writers for magazines. Usually the lesser known ones, as they're more likely to have less followers and therefore talk to me!
Btw. *cough* it's "tweeted" not "tweeded".
