I'm thinking about saving some money and buying myself a nice camera but I don't know what kind.
My cousin gave me a Digital Concepts camera for Christmas and honestly - it's crap. I haven't even gotten a picture out of it yet without it saying "no images exist" or "memory error"
So do any of you have any that you recommend? Any I should stay away from?
marokee wrote:need i pose the obvious question...was there a memory card in your camera(the one you have now)?
Yes there is.
But it seems like when I put the memory card in the card reader, no photos show up (or whenever I shut the camera off, and then turn it back on, it's like I never took any photos in the first place.)
Well... Im not camera expert... But i have a Nikon Coolpix. It works really well. It is easy to use and takes AMAZING pictures! in my opinion, they are great cameras to have! Good luck!

Well, if you just want a simple P&S, you can't go wrong with Canon and Nikon. If you're looking into a DSLR.. you still can't go wrong with Canon and Nikon.
Most cameras work well, some take better pics. than others with that said instead of throwing in batteries and clicking away take some time and read the instructional manual. You may be surprised.
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Hehe, this camera was given to me from my cousin. She got a new one and she lost the manual.
I've been searching for directions or something online - it turns out the "Digital Concepts" camera I got isn't even well reviewed on Amazon.
Oh well, it's the thought that counts. Guess I'll have to save and get me a Nikon.
make sure you get image stabalizer...
that keeps your photos form being fuzzy when they move.
there are some really good ones from Sony..i mean...i took a picture of a stationary object form the inside of a vehicle while going 80 km/h...and the picture came out perfectly....
so i recommend gettign a camera like that.
