Snow!

Hello all,
Just wondering is you have any snow at the moment, and how much? Snow in the UK at the moment is causing loads of problems with travel etc., (and the postal service

) though we have hardly any (in the South-West of England), ice is the main problem on roads. I think that some West End shows are closed too, as I think the snow is meant to be quite heavy in London at the moment. Down here loads of colleges, schools and businesses are closed (I love how the British will do anything to avoid work and school!) but I don't expect it'll last very long.
Anyway, if you have any nice snow pictures or anything feel free to share them!

Hello
Well there is snow where I live but not too much, like you said the ice is the main problem. But I have been trying to catch the train back to University since Tuesday and have been sent away each time as a little further on the snow is terrible and trains haven't been able to get through. Where I live at University the snow is really bad, it's one of the cities they have been showing on the news as it is so far up North. I am going to attempt to get back again this afternoon but I am honestly so worried as I don't want to get stuck anywhere.

Oh no - that's a bit of a problem, I hope you can get back in time for the new term.

We've just had a bit more snow but I expect it will have melted by tomorrow.
Have a safe journey

No snow over here

It had been snowing twice this year but rained 2 days after (both times) so at the moment there's not any snow at all.

Phoebe.... You and I had talked about snow a few weeks ago. Guess you are finally getting what we are used to getting.

I live in Ohio. There is about 6 inches of snow where i am. There is supposed to be a HUGE storm tonight. But we are so used to it, we never get snow days from school!

and we salt our roads, so there isnt any ice. but the post is delayed. I want a snow day!!!!

Jaffer - Yes I suppose all of the matches in snowy regions have been cancelled, haven't they?!
moviegirl4life - I love snow! Are you not a winter person?
ursha - Hope you have some more snow at some point! It rained here last night, so we just have icy stuff everywhere, no more snow. But they advise everyone not to drive etc.
dobie516 - Haha yes, but probably much less. Yesterday I had just a little bit of snow compared to other places - not everywhere was covered and the thickest must have been 1 1/2 inches. I know further up country they are having a lot more though.
scarybun -

Wow, that's pretty warm.
twilighter - That's a shame! With our usual British weather (rain, rain and more rain) we're not that accustomed to snow. We haven't had post deliveries since Tuesday though!
