Lots of authors become celebrities after writing books, so I assume to mean autobiographies?

To name a few favourites are
Esther Williams (very funny at times)
Maureen O'Hara (good stories about John Wayne)
Ernest Borgnine(great)
Robert Wagner(very honest re the death of Natalie Wood, his childhood in LA)
Tony Curtis(very honest re-the death of his brother)
Peter Falk
Andre Agassi
Lauren Bacall (mainly H Bogarts bravery) (great read)
All David Niven
Most boring book Julie Walters and Peter Ustinov

Moab Is My Washpot by Stephen Fry. Easily the best autobiography by a celebrity, ever.

At least those people actually had something to write about when they wrote those books. I don't see why anyone writes a book when they are at the beginning of a "career" of whatever they hink they are.
I too enjoyed the Maureen O' Hara book especially her opinion of John Huston. And I also enjoyed reading Eli Wallach's book.
