Back on Fanmail.biz after hiatus

So I used to write lots and lots of fan letters back in 2006 and 2007, then stopped for a couple years only to resume recently! I'm quite surprised as to how many things have changed! For one thing, no one posts up Via Venue addresses anymore; instead everyone just PMs them to each other. Also email addresses are just as elusive to get a hold of. I guess it makes sense about spamming and whatnot, but I was just a little surprised because it wasn't a problem (or at least I didn't think about spamming) a few years ago.
Another change (not surprisingly) is the drastic increase in stamps! Good Lord, I remember I used to pay 63 cents for international letters, and now they're 98 cents an ounce! IRCs are also so expensive now! Wow, how prices have changed, but I guess it makes sense. I'm just a little stunned, especially since most of my favorite actors and actresses at the moment are all British.
Anyway, it's great to be back, and I'm glad to see Fanmail.biz is still up and running! Has anyone else taken a break from fan mail only to return to these changes as well? I was just wondering
