I would just like to know..

By 'personal', I'm guessing you mean where they've written a letter and replied properly, instead of just signing? The only proper personal reply I've had was from Edward Hardwicke (British actor) as he's not exactly well-known, haha. He wrote me a nice long letter thanking me for my letter and drawing that I sent him. So far that's my only personal reply, but lots of people have had more.

Oh yes!! I've gotten over 50+ handwritten letters back from celebriteis and have talked to quite a few via the telephone.

A couple hours of research and lots of "Sorry, Not the person your looking for" calls. When I do get a hold of a celeb they usually want to know where I got the number and then when they see I'm just a fan they get all happy and appreciate me calling.

who are some of the big names youve talked to??

Most of them have been with Star Wars cast and crew like Ben Burtt, Matthew Wood, Rob Coleman, Lorne Peterson, Steven Sansweet and about 30 other ILM crew. But I've also talked with Actress Judy Norton and Actors John Crawford, Joe Conley and Superman Returns Actor Stephan Bender!!

Celebrities are more likely to respond personally if they aren't huge stars obviously, and if you really are heartfelt in your letters! I received personal replies from Meg Cabot, Chris Rankin, Lindsey Shaw, and Devon Murray...full letters, and other small paragraphs from a whole slew of actors!
