What equipment do you use when writing to the celebrities?

Hi there,

I thought you might like to use this thread to talk about the things you use when writing (e.g. what type of envelopes, pens, stamps [1st, 2nd class], writing paper etc)

I use Tesco envelopes. Even though they are cheap I think they are brilliant quality and they have peely-sticker things to seal them with. I use Oxford writing paper as it is brilliant quality and is always so easy to rip out. I usually just use Biros to write, but, if they are ultra-famous, I'll use my special vintage Parker pen with Quink ink! A lot of the time I use second class British stamps as I don't think it takes that much longer to arrive. I think the time taken depends more on the celebrity themselves - i.e. if they are busy or have loads of requests. If they are extra-famous or just brilliant, I might even make a little card to send to them or tell them how great they are at acting!! Instead of paper, sometimes I use blank postcards which I buy from the postal section in my local newsagent. This is where I buy all my stamps too. It is the best newsagent. I write usually at my expensive antique mahogany bureau (from about 1830). Sometimes I use my other bureaux. ('x' means plural in Francais). Sometimes I might use my duck quill which I found in my farm. It writes so well.

Please feel completely free to share your ideas and what things you use,

CHEERS!!

I use fun stationary. I have some Spongebob stationary I'm using right now for my letters. I write with glitter pens or markers. I also color the envelopes. I don't use any special envelopes or anything.

I use:

Parker pen
Standard lined paper
Tesco Envelopes
2nd Class stamps (When celebrities take months to reply, what's wrong the 4-5 days that 2nd class stamps add?)
My desk used idealy for writing these letters.

I write a letter 4-5 times, I like to make it perfect, I know right, I sound so sad.

I used to do that too, but now I just type them up on the computer using Microsoft Word then when I get it the way I want it, I hand write it all down. {up} I also make sure and save a copy of my draft letter on my computer, so if i need to rewrite again later i have it on hand. {up}

Tesco envelopes are brilliant. Just throwing that out there, lol.

I like to use coloured pens to write with; on parchment paper. I usually write in purple or green. They show up the nicest on the paper {up}

I use self sealing rigid photo mailers for the return envelope and i write my letters usually on cool or unique writing paper that i manage to find at the dollar store believe it or not and its nice quality or sometimes i use regular lined paper but only if its colored never plain white paper for me it's too boring...I hand write the letters with my parker pen or lately i have been using the sharpie pens which i kinda like using now but i never rewrite letters or try to get them perfect because they don't have to be perfect,im not perfect the celeb isn't perfect and it's not a perfect world lol Then i put it all together in a padded envelope and send it off !!! ;-) My envelope choices cost abit more to buy and for postage but worth it for the protection factor. {up} [ca]
