About 2:00 am a Severe Thunderstorn was issued as a storm rolled through my area. At 2:30 am a Tornado Warning was issued for my area. Then at 4:00 am another Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued.
These storms created a large amount of hail. So much, in fact, that it looked like snow.
Here are some images.

Thanks Stacey & Chrissy Your compassion is heartwarming Chrissy. We are all fine.
I guess this is what happens when you have 50 degree weather in January.

Hi Daniel
The weather has gone mad . . . .

We had snow over Christmas for the first time in as long as I can remember.
We went to see the family in Watford (just north of London) on Boxing Day (26th) and arrived back on Thursday 29th to snow!
It really was like a "dickensian" Christmas card scene as we drove through the country lanes at night with all the trees covered in white.
I have posted a pic below for anyone who is interested - if you look carefully you can see some of my ducks in the background!
Happy New Year!
Ian

Yeah I know what you mean about the hail hurting. But nobody was outside when this stuff came down. No injuries. That's the most important thing.
