The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson. Super creepy and beautifully written.

I love The Haunting of Hill House too! And The Picture of Dorian Gray will always be an absolute gothic favourite of mine.

Ohh, I also have a good one to read:
Pet Sematary-Stephen King
Currently reading this, very frightening. All of his books are fantabulous! You should read them!

Not quite a novel, but Stephen King's Eveything's Eventual has a collection of some amazing short stories.
