My Fundraising 2011

Hi everyone!

This year I am fundraising for the fantastic charity, Leonard Cheshire Disability. LCD support 21,000 disabled people in the UK, and many more in 52 countries worldwide, to live full and independant lives. They are the largest voluntary sector provider of care for the disabled in the UK.

To help raise much needed funds for them, I am running two major UK races; firstly the BUPA 10,000 on the 30th May; a 10km road race through central London. This will be followed by travelling up North to run the Great North Run, arguably the world's greatest Half Marathon (22km) on the 18th September. These are the longest runs I've ever done, so it's a massive challenge for me!

The point of these events is to raise as much as possible for this great charity, so it would be greatly appreciated if you would consider sponsoring me; no amount is too large or too small, and it goes to a very worthwhile cause. I know I don't know most of you very well, but it would be awesome if you would be able to help out

To sponsor me, go to http://justgiving.com/jamesrunsthegnr - it's quick, secure and easy to use! also feel free to visit my fundraising website, http://jamesrunsthegnr.wordpress.com!

Over 70 celebrities, from actors to musicians, footballers to rugby players, authors to Olympians, have supported this fundraising venture by sending my website to their Twitter followers, showing it is a worthwhile cause!

Thanks for giving this a read, appreciate it! If you can donate any amount, nothing is too small, it would be massively appreciated!

I have made a short promo video to show just how big a challenge what I am doing is!
http://jamesrunsthegnr.wordpress.com/20 ... omo-video/
It's only 3 minutes long, so have a watch!

To sponsor me, visit http://justgiving.com/jamesrunsthegnr; it takes less than 5 minutes, and the money goes directly to Leonard Cheshire Disability, a fantastic charity. If every hit on this post equaled £1 or $1, then a great amount would be raised!

It's three weeks today until my first fundraising run of 2011 (the Run Richmond Park 10k on the 9th April). I know I have posted this a couple of times, but a bit of repetitive posting, even if it only brings in one donation, is worth it!

So please, if you can, please do consider sponsoring me. If I can reach £150 by the first race I'd be more than happy. Any amount is massively appreciated  http://justgiving.com/jamesrunsthegnr
