1st class UK stamps

Could you please tell me if it is possible to send a SASE from Spain to UK with 1st class UK stamps? Can these stamps be used internationally or are they only used within UK?

As long as the value of the UK stamps is enough to get it to Spain, yes that is fine :)

So, Spanish stamps to the UK and UK stamps to Spain.
