Animator Letters Project

Unread post by wdowns873 »

I started a project called the Animator Letters Project, http://www.animatorlettersproject.com/, an effort to get professional animators to write a letter, sharing their story, as a way to encourage and inspire others going into animation or other creative fields, to not give up and to follow their dreams. I am then going to combine all the letters into a book and have it published. All of the proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to start a scholarship with Animation Mentor, to help pay the way for an aspiring animator to attend animation school, who can't afford it. It was recently featured on the Letters of Note website, http://www.lettersofnote.com/2011/07/persist.html and has gained a lot of online attention, including being Tweeted by the official Disney/Pixar Twitter page a few days ago. I hope you find this project inspirational, and it would be great if you could help spread the word. I have already received emails from people around the world, telling me how they have been inspired and encouraged by this project, and I know there are thousands more out there that can be impacted by this project if they were to know about it. As new letters come to me, they will be put on the site, so please check back often! You can follow the blog or follow the project on Twitter @AnimLettersProj to never miss a new letter!

Thanks, and feel free to send me an email, leave a comment on the site, or contact me on Twitter to tell me what you think about the project. I'd love to hear from you! I'm also always interested in any way to help promote this project and get it into the publics eye, so if you can help with that, please contact me!
