I'm really excited! Good luck to all the countries, but especialy the US, my home
I just found out a few weeks ago that my ski teacher/really good friend even though he is a LOT older than me skied in the 1986 olympics. He doesn't really let on that he was or that he's any different than an average skier, and he always goes on about how he isn't any good. He coaches soccer now, and he is on of the mose AWESOME people I have ever met. Seriously.

The Olympic Games are a great opportunity to have many nations come together to celebrate and compete in sports as one.
The Winter Olympics aren't as popular as the Summer Olympics here in Australia (as we don't get very much snow at all!), but it's still great to watch and hope that someone representing Australia does well or even wins a medal.
I have had the opportunity of going to the 2000 Sydney Olympics [au] and I'd have to say it's been one of the best experiences of my life.
I would definitely recommend everyone to attend an Olympic event some time in their life - even if it's only one event or one Olympics.

I agree, even though I have never been, that it must be an amazing experience for both the athletes, and the spectators. I think everyone should definatly go to at least on if they get the chance.

It's definitely a great experience for athletes and spectators. The atmosphere in the sports stadiums/arenas is massive. Even outside there's a feeling of excitement.
Everyone should definitely go one day

I think it is good that people can do this, and have no arguments. My personal tutor at college is greek and when he wont the world/euro cup (sorry cant remember which now LOL) he wasnt in our faces saying "HAHA MY COUNTRY BEAT YOURS" we was all like well done on your country winning the cup. we would joke around saying we will kick your arse next year as you do. but i think it a peacful compertiton among
most

I like Olympic very much. My favourite sport in Torino 2006 is Hockey. I'm Czech Republic supporter. My favourite player is Lang. I also like Ski Jumping (Adam Małysz, polish jumper

).
Enjoy.

I thing that we play pretty good even we don't have Kiprusoff (but we have Niittymäki) And my favorite players are Lehtinen and Selänne (Koivu play great too)
