Four of our local PO's are closing. It's going to be chaos at the few that are left. I'll probably use Stamps.com to do everything after that. This is what happens when the government runs something. And the rest of us have to suffer.

I think some offices will close but i also doubt the postal system will shut down totally...but this makes me glad to be canadian

Quite how the rise of email is the governments fault I am not sure. That seem a typically silly partisan American comment. Hell, if it were not for the law stipulating postages prices cannot rise higher than inflation, none of us could afford this hobby. The reality is postal services everywhere are hurting (although, no where near as badly as you guys)

E-mail taking a big chunk out of the PO's revenue is bunk. Most people weren't taking the time to write letters to each other even before e-mail. I didn't hear anybody blaming the telephone. And there's no need to take pot shots at my political views. Let's play nice, shall we.
