Oh no. I'm just hoping the price won't go up too much :x That's the first I've heard of the price change.

I hope it's not too much, and I hope it won't affect the price of other things (such as IRC's.)

Thanks for the info Lucas42.

Last time the prices went up, the cost of an international letter went from $1.65 to $1.80.

There'll probably be some information on it soon.

[agree] the price will probably go up to a maximum of $2.00.

Yeah...I really hope that if there is a price increase, that it will take a while to come into effect. I was at the post office today, but didn't see any signs or hear anything about it (maybe because I was paying bills and not buying stamps.)

I really don't want to hear any news of price increases :(

Well...I still haven't heard anything (on the news or otherwise.) The only press release I found while typing it on Google was from the previous price rise. If it was going to rise next month, we would have probably heard something about it by now, whether in the news or on the website.

I guess it's inevitable that it will rise some time in the future, sooner or later. They have to notify us first. I'll probably go to Australia Post and ask some time next week (I'm too busy tomorrow) to see if anyone else has heard of anything.

Hey Lucas {up}

Thanks for your post. Can you please let me know when the prices change so I can amend the postal cost thread in the Collecting Help forum :P

Thanks!

It hasn't changed yet Ian. Lucas saw a sign at Australia Post the other day which said prices were going up for international postage...yet I haven't heard or seen anything. Plus, there have been no press releases or anything on the news (yet.)

When I get word of the new changes, I'll let you know Ian :D

Well...I don't think I've heard any official word on it yet, so prices haven't gone up yet.

It is inevitable that it will go up some time in the future, but by how much, we don't know yet.

Should I hear something about it soon, I'll let everyone know.

We should all start sending letters out ASAP! :mrgreen:

Does anyone know if the prices would effect letters sent within Australia?
