Your letters to celebrities.

I was wondering about the letters that are written. When I write a letter to a celebrity I usually just send a one page letter. But, then sometimes I just have a paragraph and it doesn't seem like it is enough.
Any suggestions on writing a decent letter? I am having writers block.

I write on A4 pages and put my address in the top which fills a bit of space. Then write a paragraph of why i like that person etc. Then a second paragrah about the request. I always seem to fill up a page but If it's someone who's one of my most wanted I write 2-3 pages.

I don't think it looks 'bad' if you don't fill a whole page.
Most of the time, I only include a small note with 3 sentences. I'm not a great writer, especially not in English.

Thank you for the replies!! I am always nice. Sometimes they thank me for the Lovely letter. Lately though I just can't seem to fill a page. I suppose sometimes less is more as long as it is sincere.
Thanks again for answering.

LoR's, never more than 1 page. Keep it kind, simple and to the point. Above all allow the artist time to respond in their own time. Mention what you've enclosed and return postage etc.
Simples...

I always write 2 pages and occasionally 3 but i space each line a bit because i use decorative letter paper with no lines but if i use lined paper where everything is close together i generally do a full page and sometimes a second page. I just feel that a letter should not be too short or to the point because its not like i will probably ever get another chance to say something to that person so i write from my heart and say how i feel and it usually wont fit into one page lol They are taking the time to read your letter so i think they would not only mind but probably appreciate the fact you took the time to write a decent letter and not just a request for autograph letter...Just write from your heart and not from the wanting a autograph view because people can see through fake emotions....

I agree with this so much! When I started, I sent out letters of about only a page (if that) but then as some celebs got more popular I realized I was missing golden opportunities to tell them everything I think and feel (which is what a fan letter should be about). So now I send out 2-3 pages and if a celeb is willing to read a short, dull auto request letter then I'm sure they are willing to read a longer, more sincere one.
And you're right this could be your only chance EVER to talk to that celeb, so for me it's all about making them smile, laugh, or be happy to receive a letter, and in fact the autograph request is a tiny part of the letter. Strangely (or maybe not ;) ) since I changed to this type of structure I have more successes. "short and sweet"? I think not
