Besides the autographs themselves, what is your favorite part of collecting autographs?

Mine would have to be filling out the envelopes and getting everything together in the envelope.

And yes, I realize how dorky I just sounded!

One of my favorite parts is checking the mail everyday and having that chance of something being in there or not.

Handwriting the letters.

I have to agree with this. Also, checking on websites to see what everyone else is getting - seeing if they're getting someones auto that I would want to.

I'm on the other end too. I like getting mail; reading letters of people requesting autos and such. Nothing out of the norm really, sometimes people will order a book, but mostly it's an SASE requesting for autos - which is cool.

This will probably sound silly but other than the obvious getting replies I really love it when I seal the envelope, after everything is in it, the address has been written & I press down on the envelope Gives me great pleasure just to know 'it's finished' and ready to pop in the post box.

I also love looking at the successes other people get, you can tell when someone is genuinely happy about their success and because collectors know what that happiness feels like it's almost infectious to me when I read about other people's autographs
