I got the same thing and I think its just confirmation that they got your email, I dont think you need to respond to it
but please tell me you wrote more in your email than that....

I was trying to keep my letter simple so that they don't delete it thinking it's a plain fan letter without getting to the request.

Do they do that?
Asking for a signed picture is the last thing I do in letters and emails.
I thought they read the whole thing.

I know some celebs do it

, I'm not sure which ones though. I just wanted to be on the safe side.
Just think if you had 5,000 people sending you the same letter. After the first 2,500 of them don't you think you would trash any letter with that beginning without reading it? I wouldn't blame them.
