Ask For Personalization?
My friend asked me if you need to ask for personalizations. Do you?
I don't generally ask for personalisations - I would assume that most celebs would tend to try and personalise regardless, to limit the chance of the autograph ending up on eBay.
The only time I have specifically ASKED for personalisation, is when the autograph I'm after is for a gift (ie. for my Mum, or my girlfriend).

I've started asking now just incase cos I remember someone got a signed pic of Georgie Henley and theirs wasn't personalised cos they didn't ask but most other people got a personalised one cos they did ask.

Hey MW1221
Like cowboys said, I think most celebs personalise by default nowadays to limit the chance of their auto being sold
There is an exception to this though when celebs pre-sign a whole pile of photographs to leave with their agent (e.g Ewan McGregor). That way you will almost always get an unpersonalised pic.
However, on the other hand I don't think there it would be rude to request a personalised autograph - as long as you ask politely
Hope this helps!

I think as long as you sound nice and polite whatever you say will be great.
Personally, I don't ask for them to personalize it and a lot of the time it comes back personalized, I think it's a nice added touch.
Although, I do wish I had asked Gene Simmons to personalize but even then, there's nothing saying that he would have

I take your point though, nothing is absolute in the world or autograph collecting
