Just head the news about the shooting last night at the movies in Colorado. So sad that this tragic event happened. Thoughts and prayers for the families of the victims.

This happened not to far from me, and I was so shocked. Been following the story since about 1 this morning and it's just so awful.

There is a thing going around Facebook at this time calling for a visit from Christian Bale to the kids that were injured in the shooting. I think that would be awesome if he could take time out of his busy schedule to dress up as Batman and visit. It would be really good PR and give the kids something good to remember from this tragic incident.

It's so awful, those poor people, and their families
I just don't understand how someone could get to that mentality to do that...

I got woke up at around 3am by fox news going off like crazy on my phone so I got up and turned the tv on still half asleep to fox news and was awake real fast once it set in what happened. My heart hurts for the lives lose and ones still fighting for their lives it hurts even more knowing one of the ones lost a 6 year old girl and knowing her mother is still in the icu fighting for her life calling for her baby girl yet no one has to heart to tell her her baby girl is gone which if I was in their shoes I don't think I would have the hurt to tell her either knowing the state she is in.

One of the men who died, Navy sailer John Larimer, actually lived VERY close to me out here in Illinois. Heck, I checked and I even had a few mutual friends with his sister on facebook. I don't want to say too much and give away exactly where I live, but his death has rocked this whole area. I didn't know him or his family or anything, but when I first heard about shootings at like 3am on friday morning, I NEVER expected this incident to hit home like this seeing as I live thousands of miles away. Anytime a soldier around here dies (even the ones who didn't die in combat, like John), thousands of members of the community come out and stand by on the street to pay their respects to the soldier as his funeral percession goes by, so I'll be out there as his casket passes. Very sad day for both the people in my area and the country as a whole.
