simpsons chalkboard gags different depending on location?

s25e19 of the Simpsons aired April 27 2014. i talked to my buddy that lives somewhere other than me and he had a different chalkboard scene than me. his had "you cant play April fools jokes on April 27th" where as my TV had "April Showers Do Not Bring Matt Lauer's". why is this? is it a regional thing for every episode or just this one? somebody answer this plz i googled it and came up short. its driving me insane and its something so stupid. HELP ME! :( [us]
