Why is it we have over 6000 registered users and our highest number of members on a day is 90
I've browsed through the list and about 70% of them sign up and never post

Hi TheMailman
Thanks for your question
Actually the figure of 90 that you refer to is the most registered members on the forum at the same time, not just the same day
We have hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of visitors every day
I know what you mean about having 6,000+ members of which a lot don't post. The main reason for this is that earlier in the year (when we allowed "guest" access and posting on the forum), we had a large spate of spam posting, so we made the posting areas of the message board "members only".
Therefore a lot of members just drop by and have a look around, check out successes, but never actually post
It is a bit of a pain, but we can't force them to post
However, the numbers of active members on the board increases on a steady basis so it can be all bad
I hope this helps!
Ian
