I just heard that Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter died at sea while filming for one of his TV-shows.

Hi Fatima
It's all over the news here right now. Considering he's only 44, this event is quite unexpected, and a great shock

My heart goes out to his wife and children.

TheMailman, why does it matter if people got successes or not from him? This is a time of mourning, not a time for thinking about your own autograph collections.

Its sad...to think he did all that with the crocodiles and poisonous snakes, and it was a stingray that got him. Apparently stingrays venom isn't usually that strong and hes only the third man from Australia to be killed by one.

There won't be anyone like him around for a long time, I still can't get to grips that someone that passionate about what he does is gone...
A sad day indeed.

He actually didn't get killed by the stingray's poison but by the stingray's tail which stung either through his heart or the left side of his chest. Steve immediately suffered a cardiac arrest.
May he rest in peace!
Best,
Stephan
