. . . that they did this sort of stuff in television shows:
Exterior shot of a 'Desperate Housewives' house on kanvas.
Some set of the insides of a 'Desperate Housewives' house.
It's totally weird how they make it look real. Why can't it all be filmed outside for outside scenes/shots and all it all filmed inside for inside scenes/shots
Totally baffals me. . .

it's probably a lot easier to do it inside of a studio due to the fact that the weather could be really crappy one day or somthing.

Yeah its just weird that its all fake. Like we see it on the screens but futher in front you would be able to see that its in some room

I've seen some tv sets but never one like that!!! Its so fasinating that that is the same place you see on your tv screen... I find it very interesting!

The interior(?) scenes of lost are all filmed in a studio/place in Honolulu, Hawaii. They are not in the US, Australia etc but I'm sure you know that. They build everything up.
Plus, they use pretty much computer graphics, so called CGI, for scenes on the island.
I don't think they use a fake house exterior thingy like the one you posted though ;)

That is done with every tv show worldwide. It way too expensive to shoot on actual locations.
Maybe you have heard of "Coronation Street" in the UK and "Lindenstrasse" in Germany. They have build up a complete street in both tv shows but all scenes are shot in the studio. The street is only used for the few outdoor shots.
