ok so i have a few questions!! should i always send a return envelope and a picture?? also how long should i expect to wait. finally what should i say in my letter besides i want an autograph?!?! THANKS ALOT!

To answer your questions:
- Yes, you should always send a return envelope with postage (known as a self-addressed, stamped envelope or SASE) with your request for an autograph. It makes it easier for the celebrity to send you something as all they have to do is put it in the envelope, seal it up and post it off.
- Sending a picture with your request for an autograph is
optional.
- As to how long you should wait, it really depends on the celebrity. Some may get back to you within days or weeks, others may take months or years. The average would probably be somewhere around 3 months or so.
- Things you may like to include in your letter include:
:arrow: An introduction of who you are and why you write to the celebrity
:arrow: What you like about their work
:arrow: A request for an autograph
:arrow: Thanking them for their time / wishing them all the best

Hi dpc1192,
Best advice I can give you is DO your homework, Find who signs authentically thru the mail and who doesn't. Don't follow the leader on this site because unfortunately alot received are secretarial. Some celebs especially the old timers do not have pics. and request a pic. PM me for a list of those celebs. if interested. It's a tough hobby and if you want what you receive to be authentic( actually singed by the person your writing to) then like I said do your homework! this is a great site for addresses but you have to know who signs and don't sign thru the mail.
