Girls - I need help with earrings!!!

Hello everyone,
I'm a girl and I got my ears pierced about....... let's say 6-7 months ago? I know this sounds kind of gross, but there's this white stuff around the earring hole! And I pick it off, but I don't think that's the best idea. And they kind of sting at times. What do you think I should do?

hey, put a qtip or cotton ball into a bit of alcohol and wipe your ear off with it.

You should only use pure gold or silver ear rings. Other low quality ear rings can do that as well! If I want to wear fancy "fake" ear rings I don't wear them for more than a day at a time.

Is it dry skin? Or an infection/allergic reaction? I would try the alchohol trick and maybe some moisturizer. If it keeps doing that I would go to your doctor and have them look at it. If it gets red, puffy or swolen, or hurts I would go the doctor as well.

Go to the Pharmacy and get an antiseptic spray (Merfen per ex.) and spray that on your ear. Maybe you can also get it from the Piercer..?!
Whatever you do, do NOT take the Earrings out!

i am a guy so i dont know much but i say just pick it of, whats to be scared of.
see what happens if it goes green, or bleed and dont stop then go and see a doctor. lol:D

Its just a mild infection, I've seen it before. All you need to do is clean all your earings in the anticeptic stuff as was suggest earlier on in the forum. Try and wear onnly pure gold or silver as was also suggested. Keep some earings in and twist them and apply the anticeptic stuff down the back of the earing. Thats how I sorted out mine, which sounds the same as yours.
