And now we know the real reason why Gene stopped signing recently. Wasn't because he was mean or just didn't feel like signing ... it was because he was sick. If a person issues a letter saying they've stopped signing, people should accept that and not try to do end runs like sending stuff to his home address, or mailing it to his wife, or moaning and complaining that he owes it to his fans to sign.

Lol
Oh f*** off you old fart
There are lots of reasons why celebs stop signing ( not just because of ill health)
Some get bombarded with mail and don't have the time to sign it all. With gene his health only deterieted the past few month. I got a success from him in April of this year ( I was one of the lucky ones after many tries)
Now get of your high horse and stop talking drivel

"Wilder died due to complications from Alzheimer's disease, which he struggled with for three years, his nephew Jordan Walker-Pearlman said in a statement to CNN." Not the past few months.

If it's not signed in front of you, you never know if it's signed authentically. You can get to 99 and several 9s certainty, but never 100 percent. Look at Avery Brooks - his secretary can sign just like he can, but with one difference in the signature. More than one astronaut had secretaries sign their stuff, and that while they were active.
