Ok guys...her'es the thing. I REALLY wanna meet the Backstreet Boys on the 30th when they come to NYC for a signing but it's a school day. Their album comes out that day and the store opens at 8 and I start school at 8:45 and the place is in Manhattan and I live in Queens so it'll prob. take a few moments and prob. a long line to pay, too. Luckily, the signing is at 6 but I get out of school late anyways. I REALLY wanna meet them soo bad but I have a feeling I'm failing my 1st period class and I don't wanna be late. Should I go, really?

Well, it is up to what you believe to be more important. Meeting the Backstreet Boys or your education. Go for which ever one you think is best.

Well, if I were you I'd get up really early and try to be first in line at the Manhattan store and then go straight to school after you pay but if you have the least amount of concern tomorrow that you'll run out of time once your ready to leave wait and just go to school.
Pick a good choice! I hope this helps somewhat.

BABii_ANG3L,
I understand your frustration but this is something you have to decide for yourself.
This is what I would do if I was put in the same position:
I take school very seriously and I never skip classes. I even go to school when I am not feeling well (unless if I can't even stand on my own two feet)

This means that when an apportunity like this shows up I grab it with both of my hands!!

And when I come back to school I put extra time and effort and catch up or even read ahead! To me, the BSB are one of the greatest bands out there and it would be a dream come true to meet them. And to miss one school day is a price I'd be more than willing to give. It's only really up to you
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

Take loads of pics if you do decide to go

In my opinion you should think about what is going to affect your life more.Yes meeting them will be a great experience no doubt but your education will be vital in the long run.If this skipping class thing only happens once i think you should go for it as long as you catch up the work.
Good luck
Sal

I think a more important question would be...how likely are you to get caught out?

Or...
How many other kids will be bunking off and will your teacher notice?

I am much like Fatima and agree with her views! {thumb2} I have rarely skipped classes and very much can't stand people who do, especially for not very good reasons. I have loved the Backstreet Boys since I was a kid myself and have gone to MANY of thier concerts, though only IF the whole band was still together would I have probably done what you want to do. Though, I can suggest 2 things for you to think about in coming with your final decision...
1. If you think you are going to regret not going down to Manhattan to meet BSB, then definitely go.
2. Think about whether or not you can afford to miss a day of school, especially in your situation of possibly failing a course.
Hope you make the right decision!!
