If the magazine has staples, find the center page and use a pair of scissors to pry them open then take out the double pages until you reach the one you want. If it doesn't have staples my bes advice is to carefully cut round it.

If it has staples, I go to the center and use my nails to pry the staples open. If the pages are glued together, go to a page you don't want and rip the magazine in half, and then the pages come off easier. Normally, I just hold one section of the magazine down and tear the poster out, it comes out fine with no tears.

What I usually do is hold on to the next page and tear it out slowly or if the next page is also a poster, I hold both of the pages and tear it out carefully from the middle and then cut it. It's much better.
