17 in the UK...for however long that lasts. cos obviously all road accidents are caused by 17 year olds, therefore the driving age should be raised and no-one will die on the roads ever again...
ah well. doesn't affect me any more. finally passed the thing

In the U.S. it depends on the state. Anywhere from 14 -16 yrs. of age

Yeah it's crazy. Most think it's 16. All depends on the state.

In Michigan it's 14 and 7 months to take Segment 1, 16 for your permit and Segment 2, after Segment 2 you must accumulate like 50+ hours of driving with someone over 18 to apply for your Level 3 license and road test. And then 18 for official license with no limits.

Well, the high school I go to offers drivers training after school. I'm in Segment 1 now...it's where you get your Level 1 license. After you get that, your allowed to drive with someone over 18 with a valid license. Once you drive for 30+ hours you can apply for Segment 2 for your Level 2 license. Once you get that, you need 20+ hours with an adult, and now with night driving. Then once thats accomplished you can apply for the road test which is like $55 per time you take it, to get your license. And when your 18, you take another test, for your license again, but this time without any restrictions.
