I'm working on a speech for my Speech class, and I need your help. My speech is a persuasive speech, intended to persuade my audience that non-smokers would be more likely to visit a smoke-free restaurant than one where there are people smoking. So, my question to you is:

WOULD you prefer to eat at a smoke-free restaurant?

Yes I would.
Reasons:
1. Even if there is a "No Smoking" area in a restaurant, it doesn't mean the smoke can't get past the smoking area, just because there is only a certain area to smoke.
2. I don't see why people have to put up with the smell of it when we're not actually smoking or harming ourselves (intentionally)
3. I don't want to smell of smoke whilst I'm out
4. I'm not stupid.

I do not smoke, (but hey im not legal either) but I know my parents don't like to go in smoking restaurants because of me- and it's just not healthy either!

I can't stand the smell of smoke. Maybe one day I'll get use to it but now it smells like ****!!!

I don't care, as long as that cigarette is not in my face. I hate it when people smoke around me. Even when some of my friends do it, I have to walk away.

I can legally smoke in September, but I am chosing to never touch a cigarette. I think smoking is not only ugly, but stupid to start. I know some older people can't help themselves since they started before this whole cancer thing came out, but starting now that we know more of the facts? Dumb.

With that said, I think it should be illegal everywhere to smoke in public. Nobody should have to put up with someone else's disgusting habit.
