Carly Smithson, I can't believe it!!

I can not believe that Carly Smithson went home tonight on American Idol. Last night she sang amazing, and she deserves to still be there. It just goes to show how much of a popularity contest American Idol really is.

Jason Castro was terrible last night...yet he stayed over Carly. Why? Because of all the teenage girls that like to watch him play his guitar night after night. He's predictable, he doesn't deserve to be there.

David Archuleta is a joke. That's it, that's all he is, he's a joke. He has a squeaky voice, and how much you want to bet that his voice is going to change in years to come. David Archuleta has no vocal range, and nothing to his voice. Hello 5 minutes of fame. Hello boy band member, or a one hit wonder. All these teeny boppers are voting for him for like 3 hours on end, that's why he makes it thru week after week. It's a big old Popularity Contest and he gets votes because girls think he's "cute" (which he really isn't). If you heard him on the radio, rather than seeing him on stage, there's no way you'd think he's a better vocalist than Carly Smithson. No Way At All.

Carly Smithson has an amazing voice, she's extremely talented and she did not deserve to go home. She could out sing anyone on that show...even if she was having a bad day, she could still out sing them. She's an amazing vocalist, you can't deny that. American Idol is pathetic and I'm seriously so irritated right now. The only one there right now that deserves to be there is Brooke White and I hope that she prevails and wins it all. GO BROOKE!

I pretty much agree! The only reason that I now continue to watch is for Brooke White...I seriously hope she wins.

I know I'm gonna hear it for saying that David Archuleta has no talent....

Well I agree it shouldn't have been Carly. Me not being a teenage girl can say this. Jason is great maybe not everyone's style but very talented. And he did good last night but just picked a song that everyone compares to the orignal. David A. is good but he's not my style. Syesha, she was good for the first time in my opinion ever last night. And David Cook I like him, he has a very different voice. Brooke has just gotten worse over the past few weeks. Carly had actually become my favorite girl. They're all good, the thing is to remember that even if it's not a style you like doesn't mean they're not good. I never like Fantasia but for the style of music she sang and the kind of voice she had she was good. It's all just a matter of opinion. No need to get insulting, even if they don't read it.

Yeah. In some of the other seasons too they judged them by beauty and popularity. Not singing. People will call because _______ is really cute/pretty or because ______ is funny and nice. Instead of calling because _______ sings beautifully. It's not fair. There should be rules about that.

Yeah I know what you mean, but I honestly just can't handle it anymore. I don't mean to get so insulting, but it's annoying to see someone fly thru week after week no matter how they do just because they're "good looking", that's not what the competition is about.

That I do agree with. So many years in the past that's happened. However this year (I'm not saying I'd have picked David A. or Syesha or some over Carly) They're all talented. I really liked Carly and wouldn't have sent her home. But they're all talented and it's such a good year it's hard sometimes to say who should go. Carly was my fav girl and David Cook is my fav guy. But I guess it's and opinion thing.
