ok im a huge classic rock fan(even thou i love new country and like a few pop singers) and some of my favirote bands/artist are the eagles david bowie, bruce springsteen ,john fogerty anyway ive heard so many stories about these guys first off all and none of them have ever signed ttm. now their are newer singers who follow in these guys footsteps, cause they could care less about their fans ,theirs some that go out of their way for their fans selena gomez ,taylor swift is really good also(even thou i havent heard back yet) miley is really nice also( i never heard back but thats most likely due to her huge popularity). anyway has anyone else noticed that not many older singers sign ttm and dont even sign in person , i mean don henley is chargin 35 hundred dollars for a meet and greet. thats way to extreme and hes probally a jerk too. dont get me wrong hes a amazing musician but come on. but ya like i said is it not true most older singers are just rude to their fans ,while alot of younger ones are super to their fans.

Younger stars are more excited about their newfound fame, and all the adoring fans that come with it. They still need to establish their fan base, so they tend to treat their fans like royalty. Some will continue to do this, some won't.
The old lot, like Paul McCartney and those you mentioned, have been famous for many, many years and the novelty by then has worn off. They're rich and successful, so they basically think 'b.ugger you, I don't need any of you anymore!' when fans request anything of them. It's sad, but there's not a lot you can do about it...

Some singers who have been round for years, automatically think there so good, that fans will put up with any rubbish from them
I'm not saying that none of them are decent, some are, and are quite happy to sign autograph, after autograph. Others like David Bowie, will never sign, so if you think you will get a TTM from him then dream on. (He did sign in the early days, I think but nothing for many years)
Also old singers, even them that have lost their voice, dont just give up they push themselfs on the public, year after year. I've heard Liza mineilli twice recently, men her voice has gone to blazers, absolutely shot she could not hit any of her old notes, and had to Talk/Sing in a very low key.
So it's a case, of either singers who think the world turns round them, are who will not shut up and call it a day.

Depends on who you're thinking of. I've had a lot of successes from older singers and I've had some absolutely amazing IP experiences with them too. I'm heavily in to 60s BritPop and I go and see concerts all the time! I've never had a bad IP experience with any of the artists and my ttm record is excellent.
A listers are bound to be a bit up themselves but a lot of older singers are sound!

i understand what you guys are saying your right ,but like i said their are a few people who should sign. like belinda carlisle ,susanna hoffs i mean ,they should just send a nice pre autographed(authentic) 8x10 i mean i would be the happyest guy, in the world im 15 but like i said i love the go-gos and love the bangles , i mean only true blue fans no them by first name first of all and how hard is it to sign a few headshots then send them pre-singed, carrie underwood used to do this but now she only pre prints.

Maybe they think it all ends up on ebay. Thats what happened to shirley temple. I saw a few successes and sent a letter out the same day, and all I got back was a little postcard sized letter saying she wasn't signing anymore cause of ebay. I grew up watching her. There is no way on earth I would ever sale it.....o well.
I think the least any star should do is send out a pre-print. You only have to sing something once, and it keeps your fans happy(well...sort of).
And as to stars who are nasty to their fans, well thats just pathetic. I'm not saying celebs shouldn't be entittled to "bad days," but to me it shows a huge lack in brain power if you continuosly do anything to hurt your fan base.
God bless celebs like Johnny Depp. Granted the autographs he sends out aren't hand signed, but hey, if all he did was answer fanmail he wouldn't have time to act and be a good father. He was named best autograph signer 2 times in a row. I have never come across a post where someone said he was really mean and nasty when they met him ip. I think part of that is because he knows what it is like to meet idols. He and keith richards seem to get along great.

Right--Just because you write a letter/send something to a celeb, it entitles you to get a response.

Wrong. It's out of the celebrities kindness towards the fans that they should want to, but no means are they bound to do it, and were lucky enough to have the majority of celebs that do. And if they chose not to, then that's their decesion. Yes it calls for unhappy fans, but it shouldn't make you dislike them! And most people, and celebs are people, don't always enjoy living in the past. Look at the Beatles...Ringo Starr in my opinion still thinks highly of the group and what they were, and Paul McCartney doesn't think so greatly of it.
And to be perfectly honest, $3500 isn't that bad, by no means is it good, but why would it be cheap so his entire life could be spent by meeting fans? Rihanna's is around $45,000..for an appearance. And please don't judge celebrities. Considering you don't have $3500 to meet Mr. Henley, you won't know. And I doubt he's a jerk considering he has put tons of his own money into environmental causes. Please do some research first.

I'm ok paying to meet stars so long as a good portion goes to a charity, but c'mon, 3500 is a bit much(there is only 1 person I'd pay that much to meet and he signs for free). And I do think the least a celeb should do is send out an ap or pp. I'm mean without fans...ur not famous....
