I would be the same! People say to me all the time that I could take my singing further but I don't want to. I'm really shy and reserved so having people following me and strangers talking to me all the time would drive me nuts!philly0330 wrote:I actually love a story I heard international-singer-actress Linda Eder (Broadway's Jekyll & HYDE, concert artist) talk about fame. She really thought she'd love it, and she really doesn't! She said that when the show Jekyll & HYDE debuted in 1990 in a theatre in Houston, the day after she left her house not expecting anything dressed in "sweatpants & a scrunchy" to the grocery store to find about 10 fans (not much, but after just one performance) wanting pictures and she jokingly said she had to decline! She defanelty had the potential (and certainly the ability and comparrisons by newspapers and critics alike) to be the new "Barbra Streishand", but she clearly just enjoys a simple life, which I think is awesome!
I think you need to be a certain type of person to be famous. Talent is only half of the deal
