What do you think about Indy 4?

I know if hasnt been released yet but I think they should have left it as the trilogy.

I know if may turn out to be a great film but I don't think you can make films like the first 3 anymore - they are classics in my eyes.

What are your opions and are you going to see it??? I am still thinking about it - it may be a great film in it's own right but I hope it lves up to the standards of teh first 3.

Ive not seen it yet, and Ive deliberatly avoided all spoilers/storyline plans.

But I get the feeling that this will end up like the newer Star Wars trilogy did - a disaster that should never have happened. (Although Episode 3 was passable)

I think it'll probably be a solid film, but it wont compare to the originals, and probably shouldnt be compared to them. Looking at it as a seperate film will probably make the film look a lot better than considering it part of a quadrilogy in my opinion.

I agree with Andy, it probably should not be compared to the origional three. I think it will be a good/ average movie and I may got to see it but I recon its a mistake...

I want to see it, I think it will be good. However I really don't want Lucas to turn it into Star Wars all over again. The man has great ideas, so why not leave his classics as classics and come up with new ideas, instead of trying to continue to build onto the same old ideas. Sometimes to be honest sequels and movies they try to make into series fall short unless they were books first. So for him to be able to create two series that have that kind of staying power, I think he was stupid for pushing Star Wars, and I'm afraid he's doing the same here.

i am a complete indiana jones nut and i cannot wait to see this film. i reckon its going to be top, from what ive seen it looks like they've stuck to the winning formula, and i dont think they'd have done it if they didnt think it was right. ive been following the progress of hte project for years and i know that they have taken a long time to make sure they get the right script etc. i think the point that makes me most confident is that harrison ford agreed to do it, and other people who did the old ones. i dont reckon they would if they didnt think it was just right.

its just a sending-off for the character, not an attempt to create a whole backstory like with the star wars, so i dont think theres a comparison in that sense. this is jsut meant to be a bit of fun anda film in the spirit of the first 3, and its gonna do very well. i dont know one person whos not up for seeing this.

just a shame it comes out the day i have a physics exam!

I think it'll be alright. I'm not too worried about it. What I'm worried about turning out to be a flop is LOTR 4. Did anyone else hear about that? LOTR is a trilogy correct? Or am I missing something?

glücklich: correct me if im wrong but I think you are referring to 'The Hobbit' which is not an addition to the LOTR trilogy but a prequel to the trilogy which was also originally written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Hopefully with Peter Jackson onboard it should be good.

Yeah its not LOTR 4, it's the hobbit, which was a prequel to LOTR and written before LOTR, for Tolkien's children actually. If they can get Ian Mckellen te be in it again that woudl be good. Also getting Ian Holm and Hugo Weaving again would be good. I'm not sure how it will turn out, but the story itself is good. You have remember Tolkien wrote dozens of books about Middle Earth, they only thing I worry about is people changing them into movies.

Hey how about this, Harrison is going to do another Indiana Jones.

Ok the old boy dont look too bad, but his been going gray, for the last 25 years, from the time of the last Star Wars movie, or was it the 2nd one? (I think he dyed his hair in the 3rd)

He will be 70, when the next one comes out, then we can call him Indiana Groans

Having said that, there's plenty of roles Harrison can still do {thumb2} but more your late middle age roles.
